Scholarship Application
The mission of the Missouri City Police Officers Association’s Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to individuals who are enrolled in higher education.
Financial Assistance is based on academic performance, leadership potential, and participation in criminal justice programs, including but not limited to volunteer hours, or programs which assist criminal justice professions directly and/or indirectly.
Scholarships are awarded annually provided funds are available.
Eligibility Requirements and Details
To be eligible for this award, you must be a member, or a family member (spouse or dependent), of the Association and be enrolled in a community college, college, or university.
Applicants must be:
Completing, or have completed, high school successfully with a minimum, unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
Accepted as a full-time student at a community college, college, or university for the upcoming academic semester. If scholarship money is awarded, this is the only program that will receive the funds on behalf of the applicant;
A citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.
Application Requirements
- Completed scholarship application
- Copy of current report card or transcripts
- Proof of enrollment at an academic school for post-secondary studies
- Essay (essay details can be found by clicking on Scholarship Application below)
- For non-members, a letter from a member of the Missouri City POA explaining relationship to applicant
Applications are due by 5:00pm on August 2, 2024 – incomplete applications will not be considered. If you have questions about the application, contact the Scholarship Committee by email at info@missouricitypoa.com.
Final selections and award notifications will be made no later than August 16, 2024.
